New Years 2008

Happy New Years to everyone world wide!

We hope that 2008 brings new adventures and contentment...

As we contemplate coming home in January here is a brief update and photos of our new years..

We decided to venture into Arthur's Pass for a tramp, picking Goat Pass which has a small (cheap) hut and is a convenient turn around for one night. There were a few others there and we shared stories and met new people as we drank the mini champagne bottles and ate puddings for the special occasion. Though we didn't make it to new years, we still experienced 2008 before you guys at home due to being a day ahead!

The next morning we woke early and side tripped up a steep slope to Mavis Lake before getting back to the hut and walking out.

The scenery was amazing !!

Once back in our "home base" with Sheila and Marton, we have continued to enjoy great meals and company on these last few days!
